This retrospective correlational study collected information from 385 of these migrant women, through a virtual survey conducted during the first weeks (March 19-April 30, 2020) of the mandatory social isolation measures taken by the Peruvian government. The main results show that there is an association between media effects and emotional impact; none of the analyzed media provided reassuring information, but disturbing information. This study concludes that the media sharpen the feelings of concern, fear, terror and anger of Venezuelan migrant women.
