Description
Summary:The problems derived from the phenomenon of migration in route to the United States have exceeded the responses, both from the countries of origin and transit, impacting children who migrate and who live exposed to the risk of suffering violations of their human rights. To contribute to research sensitive to their needs, we recovered the voices of 34 girls and 42 boys —from Mexico and the North of Central America— from January to July 2021 to explore the conditions of vulnerability and their experiences during transit through Mexico. Through their testimonies, they became aware of the experiences and emotional repercussions derived from conditions such as insecurity, violence, and poverty, which they experience along their route and undermine their right to an optimal life.
