| Riassunto: | In South America, the re-claims of indigenous nations for autonomous and cross-border territories have led to the emergence of Plurinational States. This research aims to investigate the struggle for land in the ancestral continental territory of the Guarani Nation on the border of Brazil with Paraguay, Bolivia and Argentina since the 20th to the early 21st century. We analyze the multi/trans-territorial strategies of the Guarani in the four countries in the fight for the defense of life and demarcation of their territories. In addition to the documentary review, empirical material was collected between 2016 and 2019 through fieldwork in conflict areas. The ethnic-political and autonomous Continental Guarani project is a way to give unity to the confrontations, to claim from the states free transit through the trans-boundary territories and the shared regulation of their rights. |
