From the analysis of these profiles, it has been possible to determine the marine expression of the Bahía Soledad fault zone, which mainly affects the sedimentary deposits of the Ensenada basin. Furthermore, evidence was found of extensional processes, such as negative flower structures associated to the main line of the San Isidro fault. From this, we infer that the study area is controlled by tectonic processes caused by the strike-slip fault systems located in the area and that are generally consistent with a right-lateral fault model characteristic of a region subjected to tensional stress.
