This list includes species collected and observed in the area between 1990 and 1993, as well as species previously reported in the literature between 1944 and 1993. Cerralvo Island has 77 species from the Panamic Province, 52 with a wide distribution in the eastern Pacific, 14 from the Mexican Province, 12 from the California Province, 5 species endemic of the Gulf of California and 14 species with Indo-Paciflc aftinity, including Gymnomuraena zebra, Heteropriacanthus cruentatus, Thalasoma grammaticum, Acanthurus triostegus, Scarus ghobban, Scarus rubroviolaceus, Zanclus cornutus, Arothron meleagris, Lutjanus viridis, Ostracion meleagris and Chaetodon falcifer. Se presenta la primera lista sistemática de la fauna íctica de la Isla Cerralvo, Baja California Sur, México, donde se incluyen 174 especies pertenecientes a 132 géneros y 70 familias. Esta lista incluye las especies recolectadas y observadas entre 1990 y 1993, así como las previamente registradas en la literatura entre 1944 y 1993. Isla Cerralvo presenta 77 especies provenientes de la Provincia Panámica, 52 de amplia distribución en el Pacífico oriental, 14 de la Provincia Mexicana, 12 de la Provincia Californiana, 5 especies endémicas del Golfo de California y 14 especies ícticas con afinidad del Indopacífico, incluyendo a Gymnomuraena zebra, Heteropriacanthus cruentatus, Thalasoma grammaticum, Acanthurus triostegus, Scarus ghobban, Scarus rubroviolaceus, Zanclus cornutus, Arothron meleagris, Lutjanus viridis, Ostracion meleagris y Chaetodon falcifer.
