Most of the time a hypothetical panorama has been generalized, with this work one seeks to direct a discussion about the demographic development of Baja California, from a historical perspective and recognizing the diverse moments of its populating. La población ha sido un objeto de estudio muy poco trabajado en el ámbito académico de la historia, y mucho menos los fenómenos específicos del devenir demográfico del poblamiento de lo que hoy conocemos como el estado de Baja California, entre ellos la migración. La mayoría de las veces se ha generalizado un panorama hipotético. Con este trabajo se busca encaminar una discusión sobre el devenir demográfico de Baja California, desde una perspectiva histórica y reconociendo los diversos momentos de su poblamiento.
