Beskrivelse
Summary:The aim of this article is to analytically revisit the origins and development of second wave feminism in the United States and Mexico, with emphasis on its ontological, epistemological, conceptual, political, and experiential findings. This analytical review proposes to contest actual reductionist appreciations of its characterization and impact. The underlying goal is political. It is based on the premise that a more integral view of the origins and development of second wave feminism could offer elements of continuity and common ground between contemporary and previous feminisms. The methodology is centered on a bibliographical review, as well as the reflective analysis of my own experience in the second wave feminist movement in both countries.
