The results showed that participants have a low level of text analysis, at the same time had low levels of paraphrasing. It was seen that the predominant textual copy. They envision some possibilities for the structure of a training workshop not only paraphrasing but on the analysis of text. Teniendo en cuenta la importancia de la paráfrasis en el proceso de comprensión, en este estudio se evaluó el nivel de ejecución de análisis de textos, así como la respuesta de parafraseo de una muestra de estudiantes de nivel superior de la carrera de Psicología. Se seleccionó a un grupo de alumnos de primer ingreso, el grupo respondió a un cuestionario y elaboró el resumen de un artículo empírico. Los resultados obtenidos demuestran que los participantes poseen un bajo nivel de análisis de texto y bajos niveles de parafraseo. Se pudo apreciar que predominó la copia textual, pero se vislumbran algunas posibilidades para la estructura de un taller de entrenamiento.
