Group divided the participants at random in four different groups Control (Group C) Group Ajustividad (Group A), Group Relevancy (Group P) and Group Coherence (Group Ch). All the groups were exposed to the evaluation 1 and the 2nd and only the group Control was not exposed to a situation of training. The results show that really in agreement to the trained criterion, the pupils choosing as principal ideas those that were constructed by base in the different types of criterion in the one that they were trained. While the identification of the principal idea can be modified by means of the imposition of different criteria of adjustment, he lacks sense to continue speaking about principal idea, provided that the reading performance in correspondence on the type of criterion of adjustment would meet place to different types of ideas, so many people as criteria imposed on the reader. En el estudio se evaluaron los efectos de entrenar a 20 alumnos –de primer semestre de la licenciatura en Psicología de la FES Iztacala– a elegir la idea principal en textos, con base en los diferentes niveles de ajuste lector propuestos por Carpio (1994). Se asignó a los participantes al azar en cuatro diferentes grupos: Grupo Control (Grupo C), Grupo Ajustividad (Grupo A), Grupo Pertinencia (Grupo P) y Grupo Coherencia (Grupo Ch). Todos los grupos fueron expuestos a la evaluación 1 y 2 y sólo el grupo Control no fue expuesto a una situación de entrenamiento. Los resultados muestran que, en efecto, de acuerdo al criterio entrenado los alumnos eligieron como ideas principales aquellas que estaban construidas con base en los diferentes tipos de criterio en el que fueron entrenados. En tanto la identificación de la idea principal puede modificarse mediante la imposición de diferentes criterios de ajuste, carece de sentido seguir hablando de idea principal, dado que el desempeño lector en correspondencia con el tipo de criterio de ajuste daría lugar a diferentes tipos de ideas, tantas como criterios impuestos al lector.
