The discourses were produced at the First Citizens Forum of Vulnerable Groups in Colima. The analysis offers a set of social representations on three axes of interest: what is discrimination, its origins, as well as the needs and action proposals of organizations to eradicate discrimination. We find that discrimination is conceived in different ways and it is inherent to the human condition, that as a social problem it is multifactorial, and that education in its different modalities and areas is a central pillar to sensitize and re-educate people under the principle of respect for diversity, the right to inclusion and respect for fundamental rights. We also reflect on the common meaning of the “vulnerability” with which these groups are usually labeled. Se presenta un análisis del discurso sobre la discriminación de doce organizaciones sociales identificadas como grupos vulnerables en el estado de Colima, México. Los discursos fueron producidos en el Primer Foro Ciudadano de Grupos Vulnerables en Colima. El análisis ofrece un conjunto de representaciones sociales sobre tres ejes de interés: qué es la discriminación, sus orígenes, así como las necesidades y propuestas de acción de las organizaciones para erradicar la discriminación. Encontramos que la discriminación es concebida de distintas formas y es inherente a la condición humana que, como problema social, es multifactorial y que la educación en sus distintas modalidades y ámbitos es un pilar central para sensibilizar y re-educar a las personas bajo el principio del respeto a la diversidad, derecho a la inclusión y respeto a los derechos fundamentales.
