A particular emphasis is placed on Baja Californias´s position within the national setting. Furthermore, the results are contrasted with a study that addresses exclusively the case of Baja California, and afterwards clarify the results reported on the studies of national coverage with regards to this state. Finally, some remarks are presented that pertain to the position of such state in the country as a whole and also to the indicators that were used. Este trabajo tiene como propósito revisar los estudios que evalúan la satisfacción de necesidades básicas en nuestro país, destacando la posición que guarda Baja California en el contexto nacional, para después contrastar los resultados con un estudio que aborda exclusivamente el caso bajacaliforniano, y matizar los resultados que para esta entidad se reportan en los estudios de cobertura nacional. Finalmente, se presentan algunos comentarios en torno a la posición de dicha entidad en el conjunto del país y a los indicadores utilizados.
