Sumario:the present work, the objective is to improve the measurement of gas flow through the use of critical flow nozzles (Critical Flow Venturi Nozzles), for this, the calibration procedure of two critical flow nozzles with diameters in the throat of 0.022 and 0.088 inches. The procedure developed is based on the recommendations made by the ISO 9300 Standard for the estimation and calculation of the discharge coefficient "Cd" of the critical flow nozzles. The calibration was carried out at the National Metrology Center (CENAM) with the use of national gas flow standards. The standards used or testers are of the type: Piston and Bell, with a measurement range of 0.05 to 50 L / min, and from 50 to 2840 L / min, respectively. The method used to calibrate the nozzles was by direct comparison with the standard.
