The objective of the work is to design the prototype of an independent urban mobility device, adaptable to wheelchairs for everyday use. For this, was used as a method the General Model of the Design Process of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, chosen for being suitable for the design and development of products. As a result, was obtained a functional prototype 1: 1 scale, with the proposal to integrate in public transport stations. Las personas con discapacidad son un sector importante de la población que necesita movilizarse en la Zona Metropolitana del Valle de México, para trabajar, asistir a la escuela o realizar actividades cotidianas. El objetivo del trabajo consiste en diseñar el prototipo de un dispositivo de movilidad urbana independiente, adaptable a sillas de ruedas de uso cotidiano. Para ello, fue utilizado como método el Modelo General del Proceso de Diseño de la Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, elegido por ser adecuado para el diseño y desarrollo de productos.
