This article summarizes the results obtained in an exploratory and comparative study of two ways of structuring the mathematical content of a B.S. program in Agronomic Engineering at Guantanamo University, Cuba: the formal systematization of the presentation of the knowledge, and an organization through problems. The sign test is used in the proof of the hypothesis. In a preliminary form, at least, it was demonstrated that the variant of systemic structuring of knowledge through problems is more conducive to the efficiency of the knowledge acquired by students than the structure presented by means of the logical exposition of achieved knowledge. En este artículo se resumen los resultados obtenidos en un estudio exploratorio y comparativo de la aplicación de dos formas de estructurar el contenido matemático en un programa de la carrera en Ingeniería Agronómica de la Universidad de Guantánamo, Cuba: la sistematización formal propia de la exposición de los conocimientos y una organización mediante problemas. En la comprobación de la hipótesis se utilizó la prueba de los signos. Al menos en forma preliminar, se demostró que la variante de estructuración sistémica de los conocimientos mediante problemas favorece más la eficiencia de los conocimientos logrados por los estudiantes, que la estructura planteada por medio de la lógica de la exposición de los conocimientos logrados.
