This paper focuses on teaching competencies that are conducive to good educational practices in relation to inclusion, from the perspective of teachers. The methodology employed in the study is descriptive/comprehensive, and of an exploratory nature. By means of four case studies, the perceptions of teachers from two secondary schools—characterized by the Spanish Educational Administration as having “good practices”— are examined. The techniques used for information collection in this study include documentary analysis, in-depth interviews and focus groups. The findings emphasize the importance of strategic skills, combined with innovation and creativity, among others. El presente trabajo presenta las competencias docentes que propician buenas prácticas educativas en relación a la inclusión, desde la perspectiva del profesorado. La metodología que se utilizó en el estudio es descriptivo/comprensivo, de carácter exploratorio, donde mediante cuatro estudios de caso se analizan las percepciones de los profesionales de la educación de dos centros de educación secundaria, catalogados por la Administración Educativa Española como de “buenas prácticas”. Las técnicas utilizadas para recabar de la información han sido el análisis documental, entrevistas en profundidad y grupos de discusión. Entre las conclusiones se destaca la importancia de las competencias estratégicas, en combinación con la innovación y la creatividad.
