| Sumario: | The objectives of this study were to describe the level of job satisfaction among teaching professionals in Spain and identify the personal and work-related factors that best predict their job satisfaction. The research used data from the 2019 Survey on Living Conditions (ECV, in Spanish) by the National Statistics Institute (INE), with a sample of 2,143 subjects. A one-way analysis of variance was conducted with a post hoc test and binary logistic regression. The conclusions show that teaching professionals in Spain exhibit a medium-high level of job satisfaction (higher than other professionals), confirming the strong role of vocation in the teaching profession. Satisfaction is predicted not by demographic but by work-related variables; type of contract is the most decisive variable. Satisfaction with personal relationships is also an important predictor of job satisfaction. |
