The research was conducted with a correlational design, applied to an experimental group and a control group, with before and after measurements of applying the EIICL. The results confirm that, there are significative differences between the students that made the text reading in a virtual environment with the application of EIICL, from the students that made the reading without the application of such strategy. propósito de esta investigación fue determinar el efecto de la aplicación de una Estrategia Instruccional Integradora para la Comprensión de la Lectura (EIICL), aplicada en un entorno virtual, y diseñada para desarrollar habilidades para la comprensión de textos en Ciencias Sociales y Administración en los estudiantes del segundo semestre de las licenciaturas de Contaduría Pública y Administración de una Institución de Educación Superior. Se trabajó con un diseño correlacional experimental, con un grupo de control y uno experimental, con mediciones antes y después de aplicar la EIICL.
