总结:In this experimental research work, is studied the decomposition by pyrolysis of walnut shell (Juglans regia L.) in a range from 400 °C to 800 °C over zinc oxide to obtain hydrogen. The catalyst zinc oxide is synthesized from zinc nitrate hexahydrate at 500 °C in air flow during one hour. The catalytic reaction produced a total gas volume of 790 mL and the hydrogen in mixture is quantified by gas chromatography. The optimum conditions for the conversion of biomass to hydrogen are 15 % w/ w of catalyst with 125 mg of biomass at 800 °C; obtaining a hydrogen production of 66.3 %, other gases 19.7 % and residual carbon 14 %.
