The research establishes moments of approximation between the pedagogic ideas of José Martí and Paulo Freire, considering the lecture of the critic pedagogy. Initially the sense of this focus is explained. Subsequently, with texts from both authors, an integrative proposal on its philosophical-pedagogical thought is built. The current thinking of the authors are valued and confronted with some post-modern statements, which discredits the production of speeches that, with critical look, they reflect on the asymmetric relations and the consequences of the globalization among uneven worlds. En este trabajo se establecen momentos de aproximación entre las ideas pedagógicas de José Martí y Paulo Freire, considerando la lectura desde la pedagogía crítica. Inicialmente se explica el sentido de este enfoque. Posteriormente, con textos de ambos autores se construye una propuesta integradora sobre su pensamiento filosófico-pedagógico. Se valora la actualidad de las propuestas de los autores y se confrontan con algunos enunciados de la posmodernidad, la cual deslegitima la producción de discursos que, con mirada crítica, reflexionan sobre las relaciones asimétricas y las consecuencias de la globalización entre mundos desiguales.
