This study shows the results obtained from an application designed and developed to help people with Down syndrome learn the basic mathematical operations. The development methodology is based on a literature review of the various tools and methods used in teaching mathematics to this specific population, and through a pilot test conducted with four learners, it is shown that using applications on devices such as tablets and smartphones facilitates teaching people with support needs. En la última década ha surgido interés hacia las personas con necesidades de acceso al currículum, en particular, aquellas con síndrome de Down. Este trabajo muestra los resultados obtenidos con una aplicación diseñada y desarrollada con el objetivo de facilitar la enseñanza de las operaciones básicas de Matemáticas a personas con Down. La metodología de desarrollo está basada en una revisión bibliográfica de las distintas herramientas y métodos utilizados para la enseñanza de Matemáticas a esta población y por medio de una prueba piloto desarrollada con cuatro aprendices se demuestra que el uso de las aplicaciones en dispositivos, como tabletas y smartphones, facilita la enseñanza a personas con necesidades de apoyo.
